Kael'in wandered into the castle, unsure of who to approach about this. He hoped to expand the reach of his guild into Avaren. It was the were he lived after all...The guild had been founded years ago, and now that the basic infrastructure was up, it was a time for expansion. He had noticed that there was no real organized guild or organization in creating a history of the world. Mostly just a collection of individuals in possession of historical documents, but nothing truly accessible. No, their guild though in terms of a series of universities and Archives holding the world's knowledge. It had been the life work of his magic teacher, but she wasn't likely to be accepted as freely as a resident of Avaren. That was why it was him stuck pitching the idea, and not her... Not that he minded too much. He just didn't really like public speaking. Then again, as one of the co-leaders, he was qualified to negotiate this. Not to mention that fact that Dar'ian, the second co-leader, was also with him. This way the non-human aspect was also covered.
Kael'in hoped they got to speak to a high-ranked mage or academic before having to speak to the council. There were aspects of this guild only a mage or the like would truly grasp... That could be powerful endorsement before the council. After a few of these rushed thoughts, he calmed down, as Dar'ian's telepathic soothing took effect. He started looking around, and actually paying attention to the beauty of the castle. It truly was a magnificent peice of architecture...

(ooc: I hope you don't mind my posting here.. but it seems that other ruling council members have missed this. and our other thread has seemed to come to an end) Dressed in her elegant black and purple cloak over a black dress, Tiy made her way around the castle, a book in one hand, a half-eaten apple in the other, and her walk quick and firm. She was reading up on the Old Kingdoms and things she did not know. She figured if she was being attacked by rebels for having the power of Will, she might as well find the roots. She knew generally that it was looked down upon in the past Kingdom and that's what caused the war and the down-fall, but what more was there to that story? Where did the hate for such a wonderful power. She took another bite of her apple and chewed quietly as she walked down the corridor, her flat, yet noisy shoes, clicking and echoing in the large, mainly empty hallways. Walking into the huge atrium, she was headed towards the gardens when she ran right into someone. She stumbled back and caught herself, but her book dropped to the floor. She looked up, her face crimson in a blush, and swallowed her apple bite left in her mouth. "Oh I am sorry! How very clumsy of me! Oh!" she smiled and laughed lightly. "Well I daresay, hello dear Kael'in!" It was her friend from the pub just the other night. Maybe he was calling on her all ready about the block, if so... he was too early. She had still not seen her friend.

Kael'in was in the middle of his moment of 'freaking out' when someone ran into him. He was so nervous that he'd not realized he was not alone. usually, he noticed could feel the presence of another individual in the same room as him, as well as their exact location, but he was so nervous that his focus wasn't there. Startled, he quickly turned around. "Oh! hello, talk about coincidence."

Dar'ian watched with interest as Kael'in was startled, a rare occurrence indeed. This the lady you were telling me about?" He asked Kael'in, knowing full well that she was, as he'd been watching them at the inn. Turning to her, he laughingly said "don't mind him, he's a little nervous about being here". Offering his hand, he continued "I'm Dar'ian Flamewind by the way"

Tiy smiled and laughed at him, good-humored. "Indeed it is!" she looked at him and then her eyes fell upon another figure as he walked up and said that Kael'in was nervous about being here. She looked at Kael'in. "Why ever-so?" she quizzed him. She did not think that the castle was that intimidating. And then the other one introduced himself to her as Dar'ian. She smiled and took his hand and shook it firmly. Her eyes fell to his chest where she saw the other tigereye resting against his chest. With her free hand, she reached into the front of her dress and pulled Kael'in's out and smiled at them. "You must be his friend. He told me to show you this when I brought the..." she looked around and lowered her voice. "The block. Which I have not yet been able to solve in the past week. But give my friend time, he comes out soon. But!"
Her voice raised and she let the shake of Dar'ian's hand end. "Welcome to the castle! I am Lady Tiy, Mr. Flamewind, but you may call me Tiy. May I be so bold as to ask what brought you two here?" she set he necklace back against her bosom and smiled at the two, bending to pick up her book, and then standing up-right.

Kael'in laughed nervously. "well... We're trying to expand our guild into Avaren, except we have no idea who and how to approach... We figured this was as good a place as any to try to get this to the council." He wasn't thinking straight. He completely forgot she was a council member. Oh how he hated pitching ideas, it was so not his strength!
Dar'ian, clearly not suffering from this form of stage fright, grinned. "We? what we? It's wasn't me that got asked to do this... Oh, and I think you just did!"
Kael'in realized he was making a complete fool of himself, and realized it might be time to 'zone out' for a few moments. Meditation seemed to always calm him down, after all, and he really couldn't make more of an idiot of himself just now. His expression became more calm and neutral, as he tuned everything out.

Dar'ian watched Kael'in make more and more of an idiot out of himself, and hoped he'd get himself under control soon. Or at least go into a meditative trance for a few moments. His nervousness was leaking through their link and it was rather uncomfortable. It wasn't affecting his ease, but it was just a little weird. He knew Kael'in was a good public speaker once he got over his nervousness, but until then, he was so horrible it was painful to watch. Except, his teacher had asked Kael'in to pitch the guild for that exact reason. He and Kael'in were equally ranked in the guild, but it was Kael'in that desperately need to practice.
He knew teasing him when he was so nervous was bordering on a bit cruel, but Kael'in relied far too much on him when required to do speeches. It had gotten to the point that he was making almost all the speeches himself. This had to stop, and the only way he could see was to force Kael'in. Kael'in would thank him later, once he got his head back on straight. He just hoped they'd come off as comical, not incompetent. Then again, Kael'in seemed intelligent enough when they'd met last, so it wasn't so bad. Dar'ian doubted he'd have thrown him to the wolves had it been a complete stranger, but it wasn't so...
After a few moments of watching Kael'in 'freak out', he saw him go into the 'trance'. It was for the best, and he'd cover for him, now that he'd at least regained his head enough to realize he was making a fool of himself and he'd better calm down.

(ooc: Thought I'd pop in, hope that's alright.)
A lone man, skin and hair as pale as the moon and eyes like two drops of blood, wearing a set a black monk's robes Sat in one of the castle many libraries. He was brushing up on things he didn't already know about the history of the area. He knew about the recent war and a few other things but details where very limited.
From what he had learned so far the war had basically been the mundane versus magic. Aesir, the city of magic had lost. And now there was a horrible imbalance in magic. It didn't take long for Malachy to learn that the local church was prolonging this imbalance. He had taken a trip to the chapel itself to have a talk with these zealots and found the place burned to the ground. He instantly decided he'd like to shake the hand of who ever did that because they would have been a real thorn in his side.
Well he was sitting there deciding to whether or not to read yet another book on the countries poletics when he heard Tiy's voice outside the library. He stopped and strained to listen and discovered she was talking to someone, so he walked over to the door and eves dropped a bit before deciding to make an entrance. He opened the door and walked over to the three. "Why, hello Tiy is every thing going alright? He asked her as he looked at the two visitors. His eyes stopped on Dar'ian, no he didn't know his name but he knew what he was. However, he kept his mouth shut he would speak with the dragon in due time, and he doubted that blowing the drake's cover would put him on the reptilian's good side.

Tiy watched the two, but her attention was on Kael'in. He seemed to be really over-whelmed with something and she wasn't sure if it was her bumping into him that started that. She looked over as Dar'in made some comment about him and saying that he asked about the guild and Tiy was curious as to what it was. "Well... How about we have tea in the gardens and you can tell me about this guild?" she offered. But her ears picked up foot steps and she looked over as she say Malachy.
She smiled brightly and walked over to him and bowed her head lightly. "Oh it is all right. They were looking to start a guild. But they have something more I think you should see. Will you join us for tea in the gardens as well, dear friend?"
A servant heard her and instantly ran off to go get things ready for the four of them in the gardens. She smiled at the three and then took another bite of her apple and turned around to head towards the central court yard. "We have had very few guilds started in the past decade, so any guild would sound good. But I will not say yes if it is a fighting guild or some guild that will disturb the all ready tousled peace in the Kingdom."

Kael'in had calmed down considerably by the time Tiy suggested tea. Not that he exactly heard her, meditating and all. He was mentally nudged out of it by Dar'ian, who then gave him a quick run through off what he missed. Not that it was a whole lot. "sorry about that... I tend to freak out at the prospect of anything resembling public speaking" he told Tiy with an embarrassed grin. "anyway, the guild we -I- want to expand into Avaren is not a fighting guild per say. It definately shouldn't disturb the peace though. Judging from what you said about the attacks on mages, looks like the guild's help might be useful... You were right by the way, I shouldn't underestimate them..." he finished with a grin as he massaged his wrist.
Making himself comfortable in the garden, he continued "We're mostly concerned with building schools of advanced learning that focus on history, technology, and magic at the moment, though we are very willing to incorporate more areas. The schools also have half their classes with groups from all the areas of study, as we believe that if people get used to and understand one another, they are far less likely to hate or fear them. We also focus on compiling and distributing among our school's libraries, a complete history of the world. Our philosophy is that those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it, since nature never really changes." For now, Kael'in hoped this was enough as he was unsure about Tiy's friend. He trusted Tiy with the guild's other goal, since she was a mage, and would probably understand the significance of it and the reason for its secrecy. He didn't know squat about her friend and didn't think it was a worthy gamble to say anything about it just yet. There'd always be time to find Tiy again later. he knew he'd have to tell her at some point, since it was only fair. Since she was a council member who was a mage, it seemed wrong to keep her in the dark. He'd have kept the council in the dark about it if none of them were mages simply because they might not understand it, after all... Continuing, he said "You may have heard of us, the Historical Society?"
