(ooc: This is a chance for people to meet Bloodwing without being roasted, gored, and/or eaten.)
The great red dragon glided through the beautiful blood-red twilight sky. Bloodwing liked to think of it as the sky was bleeding to death and being replace by night. He liked this time of day because it was the one time of day where he was actually somewhat camouflaged against the sky.
As he flew around The great Lake out side Avaren he found himself thirsty, so he glided down and landed with a soft thud on the ground. Then he turned to the water, lowered his head and began lapping up gallons of water at a time filling his enormous belly.

Parin had been gathering some herbs to put in the food of one of the horses. She was very sick and the head groom had sent the small girl out to get the plant in the fading light when the enormous dragon landed. Parin ducked down in the high grass hoping very hard the Dragon wouldn't see her. The last thing she wanted was to be a snack for the beast - thought for a Dragon that size she might not even be a taste. Despite her immense fear her mind made the time to wonder how it could be that he was drinking.
Don't dragons breath fire? came a thought, through all the clamering to 'run as far and as fast away as your legs will carry you!!!!NOW!', How can they also drink water? Well if she didn't survive she'd never know for sure. Parin grabbed for her bag carefully, trying not to move even a stalk of grass as she pulled it close to her and reached inside for her invisiablitly cloak.

As the great flying reptile drank it's fill, and lowering the water level about an inch in the process he caught the sent of the many things around him. The wild flowers, the berry bushed, the pine trees, and the human... wait the human? Looked like it was Snack time. He lifted his head and looked Right at the little girl hiding in g the grass and realized something. He had drank too much water. He was too full. He wished he would have noticed the little girl sooner, oh well. The girl was rather small anyway he didn't know if eating her would be very satisfying. To gain anything from he's have to make her scream in agony gaining more pleasure in her dieing than her sustenance.
However being full also made him lethargic which meant he was to lazy to tear her apart. Hell he might just sleep here instead of going back to the mountains. "You Can't hide from a dragon little one. Especially when you reek of fear. Something I approve of, you should fear me if you didn't I would be offended and if I where offended well you would no longer be alive." He said with grim satisfaction. This was a rare instance where he didn't feel like eating the food that was placed before him.
"So while I remain interested, state you purpose for being out side the city walls."

Parin stood on her trembling knees her cloak in her hand. "I was sent here to gather herbs for a sick war horse, sir," said Parin in a soft and hurried voice. "ButIamdonenow, byesir!"
Parin flipped on her invisibility cloak and dashed for the road where her movements couldn't be seen in the long grass. It had not rained in three days, yet the well packed dirt of the road was yet to become dusty, ensuring her foot falls would not make a print. As Pain ran up the road toward the gates, she didn't day curse or thank her luck . . . plenty of time for that once she was safely within the walls of the city.

Being in visible as a nice tactic too bad vision isn't the only thing that dragons use when hunting prey. He cloak hid her from sight but he could smell pray from nearly 2 miles up in the air un less she had a way to smell exactly like the grass she had no real way of escape.
The dragon bound over the lake with a single jump and fllowed the little girl who had spoke of a sick horse. "You know If that horse ever need to be put down I don't know, maybe for a broken leg or because herbs won't work, I will happily handle the dirty work for free, and I swear that who ever gives such a horse up won't be harmed." Why was he acting so civil and not just ripping her a part, well it must be an off day. He placed a claw on the road in front of the smell then looked right at it. "Did you hear me hatchling?" He couldn't see her but his nose NEVER lied about what it smelled.

Kael'in came out of the city for a leisurely swim in the lake. His plan for quiet relaxation was blown sky high when he saw the dragon hassling someone. It was a fascinating image, as he knew dragons didn't generally (at least in his experience) toy with their food. He decided it might be fun to join in this unique event.
Dismounting from his horse, he ordered Star to stand in place. Shielding his mind magically, he approached. Just for the heck of he called out "Good day sir dragon" He knew that the dragon was already aware of his presence, unless of course he was deaf, blind, and with no sense of smell. That seemed unlikely, as no one -of a species so feared or disliked- would wander around in that condition. This definately made a quiet boring day interesting...

Dar'ian was curious. He sensed a fellow dragon. This was a rare occurrence, to run into a dragon here. He approached with interest, in his human form though.

Bloodwing noticed the men getting closer. and looked up as he was adressed and he was ure that his would be prey would be getting away now. No matter two was better than one. Besides the lack of fear in these two needed to be corrected.
With out responding he slithered/crawled his way towards the two strangely silent for how big he was and he wondered how strong the nerve of the horse was. Un afraid the gragon stopped mere inches from the man. "Good day, indeed, good day to be roasted by dragon breath, no?" He Said with menace. Why he hadn't snapped these two up yet he wasn't all that sure. He guessed he just didn't feel like it. And now that he was paying attention the one was radiating a very strange power, familiar somehow but at the moment, luckily for them, he hadn't placed it.

kael'in grinned at the response his somewhat arrogant comment had recieved. "Indeed it is, but I trust you won't attack me. Wouldn't that spoil this nice quiet day? I mean this close to the walls, you'd alert the gaurds..."He grinned and continued "of course, they wouldn't pose much of a threat, but you'd still have to expend the effort to be rid of them, no?" It was arrogant, yes, but Kael'in knew he and Dar'ian could take him.

This human was treading on thin ice, no, more like walking on water because that was NOT the way to spoke to a dragon. The human was quite ballsy though Bloodwing could give him that. "A chomp and a swallow wouldn't disturb the peace. In fact I could probably be quite stealthy about it." Sadly however the human was right if the dragon was going to eat them then he would have by now.
"But you are wise to prod my sloth yet stroke my pride however. You have bought some patience. What business do you have, letting easy prey escape me?"
