But a very devious idea was crossing his mind. He wanted payback and playing these two for fools sounded like sweet sweet justice.
"But, you're plight does not fall on deaf ears. Who is this human you are looking for?" He asked suddenly changing the subject. He would act as if he wanted to help at least the other dragon.

Dar'ian found it odd that the dragon was suddenly being so helpful. He also got the feeling that Kael'in didn't particularly trust this sudden about-face either, at least not enough to tell him who they were looking for. "I really don't know... It's the man's smell that I'm following. That's what the boy is good for." Then grinning evilly, "that and a snack once I'm done"

His thoughts exactly. "Sounds, like a plan but what do you really need the human for. You're a dragon you should be more than capable of this pursuit without his help, or more likely interference. I know better than most that humans are greedy what makes you think that he won't turn on you while your guard is down?" Even the smallest seed of mistrust could rip open the topsoil of a union, in time.

"Well you where smart enough to play me for a fool thought you would be just as smart to lower your guard around the most unpredictable race walking on two legs. I am only looking out for a fellow dragon." It wasn't difficult to pick out his lies but there was a very powerful element of truth in them. Humans where unpredictable, and greedy, and very dangerous. Why would he despise them so much.
"So tell me who is it you are hunting? If its one thing you can trust me for it's to never ally myself with a human. Besides Having a goal makes things so much more interesting."

hhe... so the dragon wasn't fully buying his story... Not that he was all that worried.
"It's a mage that's looking for a dragon companion, a young one... That's all I can tell so far... Heard of any lately?"
