Searching for a safe place to camp [OPEN!]

[Sakura Torisha]

Sakura wandered about the Dark Forest. It was really hard for her to see because of the darkness. The trees were so thick that no sunlight could shine through. She held a torch in her right hand, the swaying flame providing just enough light for her to see in front of her, so it would not appear so dark. She had been wandering about the land for quite some time, and got lost within the forest. She is now looking for a good place to rest and set up camp.

"It's awfully quiet here," she said to herself. "Maybe it'd be a smart idea if I find a hollow tree to sleep in. Or maybe....staying here is not such a good idea, but what choice do I have?"
She stuck her torch in the ground and started to build a fire. Once built she lit it up with her torch and began to try and set up her tent.

Suddenly, she heard rustling in the bushes. Gasping, she turned her head, her eyes shifting.
What was that? she thought. Is someone coming? Is a vicious animal seeking to devour me?

[Horu]

Indeed it was a beast. Crouched low beneath the bushes was a rather large and very hungry wolf. Normally such a creature would stay clear of a campfire but it had been going days with out a descent meal and this traveler smelled of fear. And there was no sign of metal so it was likely that this human was defenseless. Perfect!

The wolf tensed up getting ready to pounce. Coiling its leg muscles and began to drool in anticipation of the feast. The girl looked his way and he knew he needed to act fast. He uncoiled and lunged forward with deadly speed, mouth open wide. Ready to tear the throat out of its helpless victim...

The girl wasn't defenseless, not completely. The wolf had its own follower. A creature higher on the food chain than itself. Horu had finally tracked the wolf down when he noticed the campfire. It didn't take long for Horu to notice that the wolf was going TOWARDS it. He saw the girl. The hunt had turned into a rescue. The calling of his lord to protect those in need rang loud and clear in his soul.

He sneaked up behind the wolf just as the girl looked their way. He hesitated and in the split second the wolf pounced. The Paldin lunged at the wolf and managed to grab the hound's tail, stopping it inches from making a kill and slammed it to the ground. The wolf was on its feet and turn and lunged blindly at the fearless Creature that had halted its hunt.

The knightly beast had its large curved blade in had. and with a single horizontal slash, cleaved the top half of the beat's skull from its head. The life less corpse slammed into Horu smearing its blood on his already reddened armor. He hadn't had time to put on his bracer so the girl saw before her his natural form. "Are you alright?" He asked with concern hoping that his beastly appearance didn't frighten her. His race was known to be noble but not everyone knew the legends.

[Sakura Torisha]

There she saw it, a wolf coming towards her. She closed her eyes in fear and covered her ears.
Oh Lord, please hear me! Don't let it hurt me....please don't let it hurt me.... she screamed in her head this desperate prayer.
Suddenly, she heard a sound of violence, and the wolf fell dead. She could hear the thump of it crashing against another. Then she heard a voice.....

"Are you alright?" the voice asked.
"Huh?" Sakura slowly took her hands off her ears and slowly opened her eyes and looked up. Her eyes shot open in wideness and she gasped.
"What....I mean...who...." she began to stutter. "I, uh, what happened? Please don't hurt me, I am just a weary traveler."
Sakura was a bit frightened at this stranger's appearance. She hadn't seen anyone quite like him before.

[Horu]

The dragonborn pulled a cleaning cloth from a pouch clipped to his belt and wiped the blade clean of the gore before sliding it back into its scabbard. "I mean you no harm, I myself am a traveler. I hope you where not hurt." He said as he pulled a dagger from its scabbard on his belt.

"My name is Horu I'm a dragonborn of a village deep in the mountains. I serve my lord, Bahamut, as a paladin, and if you will share your fire. I will gladly keep you safe, and share what meat there is to be gained from this creatures death." He offered hunkering down with the blade so he could beging removing the animal's shaggy hide.

[Sakura Torisha]

Sakura took a deep breath and exhaled it. This guy seemed to be friendly. He said he means no harm and hopes she is alright. "Well, uh, thanks for saving me. I would of been dead meat if you hadn't of come along. You were an answer to my prayer"
The stranger introduced himself as Horu, a dragonborn, who serves Bahamut. And he kindly asked for her to share her fire and he will share the meat of the wolf he just hunted down.

"Feel free to join me," she said. "I could use some company. My name is Sakura Torisha, Daughter Of Akinori and Chihiro. Unfortunately, my father had fell in battle, and I am currently on a search to find my little sister, Lia."
Sakura searched through her pack to see if there was any food left she could share with Horu to create a more fitting meal besides wolf meat.

[Horu]

Satisfied that he was invited to stay he began skinning the wolf. A process that took a good ten / twenty minutes as he listened to the girls story. other than the half head the wolf's hide was completely intact. "I'm glad I helped. Lord Bahamut is a patron of protection,and so i would not be surprised if it was he who answered you by offering his protection through me."

He he found a good branch and draped the Skin over it to allow it to dry. He was sure wolf skin would be worth something. "I hope you find your sister. I have no siblings but I think i can understand your distress. So, what, may I ask, are you doing without at least a weapon. These woods are dangerous."

[Sakura Torisha]

"I am skilled with the bow and the sword," she told him. "But alas, I had lost them somewhere along the way during my travels. They weren't that good anyway. Perhaps I should buy a morw quality made one when I can find a market place of some sort."
Sakura pulled out a loaf of bread and a canister of water and offered it to Horu. "It's the least I could do for you saving my life..." she said, holding it up to him. "I don't need much, I'm sure I'll find a market place soon where I can find more supplies. I feel as though I am getting closer to finding Lia. She should be 9 years old by now."

[Horu]

"Ah, so your sister is rather young yet?" He said once she described her sister. He knelt back down by the hideless hunk of flesh and bone. He began using his dagger to cut off some meat. "So is your sister staying with some one you know or is she on her own i pray that its not the later some one that age should be looked after, no?"

He folded the hand sized hunk of met and skewered it in his dagger. Then he blew on it as if he where trying to cool it down but did the exact opposite. A light blue flame pured up from his mouth and licked the meat cooking it thoroughly. He then offered the dagger/shishkabab to his companion, and nodded at the bread she had offered, signifying a trade.

[Sakura Torisha]

"No, she is on her own." Sakura said, looking down with sad eyes. "She ran away after my father had fallen in battle. And my mother....she kind of went insane, I guess you could say. Not exactly insane, but rather, emotionally unstable, and she is staying with her family."
Horu offered the cooked meat to her and nodded toward her offer, as if to trade. She slightly smiled and confirmed the trade, handing him the bread and water and taking the well-cooked meat.

"I'm also looking for a friend," she said to him. "A childhood friend. I knew him back before our village was destroyed. But at age 14, he and his family just disappeared, without notice. I never heard from him again." she sighed, her life felt like a sad pathetic story. "His name is Akiyo."
Sakura took a bite out of the meat. She's never eaten wolf before and it was interesting flavor.

[Horu]

Horu pulled another dagger from his boot and repeated what he had done with the other dagger. After cooking his chunk of wolf meat, which was a little bigger than hers, he broke the bread in half and split it with her.

"Well I'd be glad to help you look for them if you would like." He said before tering into the food.
