(Malachy)
Tiy smiled and nodded to him. Eager to show him the way. They headed from the cemetary to her manor and she unlocked the door with her hand and then opened the door to the large house. She clapped her hands twice and the candles and lights lit up. She smiled at the priest and invited him in. "Please! Come in!" she was excited. A maid came up to her and took her robe. "Natalie, please prepare the master guest room for our guest and have the chef prepare a meal." Natalie nodded and walked into the other room. Tiy smiled at him and showed him to the living room to the left of the atrium.
"Please make yourself at home. Would you care for a drink?" she asked him walking behind the couch and setting three glasses on the table and pouring one with a simple wine and waiting to hear if he would like one as well.

"It's been a while since I've had anything to drink It would be a pleasure." He said as he walked into the luxurious manor. "You, have quite a beautiful home Lady Lockheart I do hope I'm no bother." He said sincerely.
"So are there any questions you would have me answer i can tell that you are as eager to learn magic as you are to teach it."

She smiled and nodded as she poured him a glass and handed it to him. He commented on her home and she nodded, looking around it herself. "It is indeed... I am very blessed to have such a home... My adoptive parents love spending their time here. Once I was moved to the Ruling Council, I was able to have this home. And the people in the kitchen and Natalie asked to work here and I see no reason in keeping my wealth to myself, so they are paid top gold for their work in return." she smiled.
She sat down on the couch and crossed one leg over the other and looked up at him as she took a sip from her wine and then held it above her knee with both hands. He asked if she had questions about magic since she was so eager to learn, as she was to teach. "Well," she started. "Have a seat and why don't you tell me about the magic you practice, dear Priest?"

Maybe he was getting ahead of himself but there would be no ignoring the subject eventually. Also from the sounds of it, Lady Lockheart was of some importance gaining the trust of someone running the government at all would be good for him in the long run. If she approved of what he was then it would be easier for him to summon minions and spirits with out causing too much fear, or for provoking aggression.
He put the glass to his lips and took a sip of the bitter sweet liquid. He was not totally partial to alcohol as he of all people knew human anatomy enough to know it was not very healthy but he knew that a single glass would do very little. He looked up at Iiy, looked her in the eye with a very serious but not threatening look.
"I spoke lightly before of balance." He began, "That is what my order strives for. Every element in magic every action has an equally powerful opposite. The world no matter how you look at it is just one big dichotomy." He explained the set his glass down. "As a spell-caster you should understand the basics of such logic, as there is fire and cold, magic and mundane, light and dark... life and death." He paused a moment before say the last one. "Such forces are usually in natural balance and you only see results when the balance is disrupted. Like igniting air and making fire or banishing the heat and causing something to freeze. These are the bare fundamentals of magic, no?"
He stopped and passed to her other side before continuing. "Many of these thing you can manipulate with magic do very little to harm the natural world, but even the harmless magic has it's opposite. Such magic is usually known as dark magic and such magic almost always deals with forces that if not carefully controlled could cause greater damage than can be seen.
"One such magic, the magic I am most familiar with has the power to control the balance between life and death. Most people know this art as Necromancy." Malachy stopped there and waited to see if she had any comments and whether what he just told her was sinking in properly"

She listened intently and carefully to what he had to say. She remembered much of the similar things discussed in classes at her school of magic. She remembered that they stressed how important it was for them to be careful with what they learned. He, however, was known for doing Necromancy, and she absolutely loved it. She really wished she could do that herself, but she had not traveled down that road of lessons. There was simply no masters of it in her area and she could not learn it from an amature that could claim to do it. She smiled up at him, after taking another sip.
"I think that is fascinating, dear Priest!" she exclaimed excitedly. "I remember them touching on the subject you are presenting, but I've never been able to learn it." she said to him honestly.

It took a very open mind to accept necromancy and a whole other person altogether the actually be intrigued in it. At least for purposes that well intended. Maybe things would a bit easier than he thought but he wouldn't be lowing his guard too much. "Sane practitioners are not easy to come by." He commented. "Manipulating life and death is well deadly. You Teeter to far in one direction and your mind, your soul, your life will end up being forfeit. Living humans are suppose to deal with living magic, the magic of death is as compatible with life as poison, and mixing the two..." He couldn't really find the words to describe it.
"Well, I'm not sure if I'm much of a teacher but, may I ask, what interest do you have in the power over the dead?"She was a lovely looking woman, but she was human none the less and all humans desired power to some extent. What mattered was their aims for that power.

He posed a question that she was not sure how to answer. His explanation was as clear as glass to her, but his question seemed to be the fog. She thought for a moment, wrapping her brain around his words and trying to find a good answer for him. She paused and then locked her eyes on his. "I'm not sure if I could bring myself to actually controlling them for my own power... but how the magic works is what fascinates me the most... How magic can act as a soul in a person and make them move, make them... alive." she said. She thought for a moment. "I think it terrifies me... and I love the tingle I get from the idea of it..." she took a sip of her wine and then looked at him. "I'm probably not making any sense..."
(ooc: there's a sub-plot i have for her where she finds out she's half-elf, but i have not been able to progress that as of yet...)

Malachy listened and then spoke, "So, it's morbid curiosity that drives you? It's innocent enough. " He paused, he was unsure of how he should continue. He could continue the lecture, but he was sure she had a grasp of what he was about. But he didn't know too much about her yet.
"So, other than this macabre and dangerous magic what else are you interested. You're a teacher of magic what forms do you teach why are you interesting magic in general. Tall me a little more about yourself, and I will answer any questions you may have about myself."

She smiled lightly at him and took another sip of her wine and then began. "Well... I was skilled at a very young age and my parents knew that I could go rather far with my skills. They sent me to the best school money could afford and I graduated top of my class and youngest in the school. I mastered hand magic at the age of eleven and some water elemental control by twenty... I traveled for a couple years, teaching kids defensive spells and helping them learn the elementary skills of magic. I'm still learning potions, but someone told me that takes a good life-time to master since there is always something new to make one for in the growing world we live in..." she paused and looked at him, looking for signs for if she should stop.
"I guess I have always been blessed with magic and use it to better those around me as well as those I love and care for..." she grinned at him. "What of you? Where did you learn?"

He nodded as she noted potions. "Other than simple natural remedies, and some rather nasty poisons I don't know too much about potions either and I wouldn't be able to even touch this realm of magic if i didn't know at least a little about the living elements. My teachers are actually asleep right now I grew up around the other priests who taught me their was, their ethics the basics of living magic and then then went into the dark end of magic."
(ooc: i think I'll add to this later)
