The Sun was bright and high in the sky, as a lithe figure in long brown traveling cloak walked, unchallenged through the gates of Avaren. On her back saw a Long bow and a quiver. and there was no man with this woman so it would seem that she her self knew the wilds well enough but her figure even hidden under the traveling cloak spoke of infallible grace and natural beauty. She didn't' look the type to be living in a forest.
To tell the truth she was just exploring; a century among her own people just got stale. She breathed deep the fresh air. Taking in t6he people, the upturned dirt the distant smells from the market, humans sure smelled worse than her people, not that her kind had a great sense of smell, but the air just seemed to be more pungent, less fresh. Then again she came from a place among a good number of pines and a cool breeze from the mountains. So He standards where quite high when it came to fresh air.
Another sense bothered her that wasn't smell though and it was slightly more sensitive, and more sensitive than that of even a trained or seasoned human's. Her sense of hearing was being bother by the blasted hood she was wearing. One, it blocked her hearing so she was about equal to a human without and hindrance to their ears. Plus the hood was uncomfortable. She was human woman wearing their hair up and she wondered how they would feel if their ears where included in it. She let out a heavy sigh. The only reason she wore the hood was because she had heard humans could be highly intolerant to her kind so she was playing it safe till she knew how people would felt about it. Not that she really cared what they thought, but she didn't want to cause trouble when all she had to do to prevent violence born of ignorance was hide her ears.
Well anyway she wore a calm, interested smile, and she looked at everything with an absorbent intelligence. And wondered if the Avarenians where gracious enough to great the newcomer.
