The Academy of Magic was a more ambiguous place to Liam. All of the stories he heard within Avaren, could they all be true? If so...he needed to find out if he was even capable of such feats. Magic always intrigued him, and this was his chance to find out if it really existed. He just hoped that he wasn't making the wrong choice by coming here.
Walking down the path, he looked at the large building. It seemed so far away, and at this pace, it would take him until sunset to make it. Brilliant...it was only the brink of dawn. He stretched a bit before he increased his pace. What was a slow walk became a steady jog, and what was a steady jog became a sprint. However, this sprint lasted about ten minutes, since he tripped over what was apparently a large rock. Landing on his face, apparently the most embarrassing moment of the day, Liam stood up quickly and kicked the rock in annoyance, only to wince in pain. Not...the smartest move..

There wasn't any stories that Callista had ever heard about the Academy of Magic. She finally decided to see what this school had to offer, seeing as she did have some skill in defensive and protection spells. Well, she had skills meant for any sort of spells, but she had the most experience in defensive and protection spells. Magic was not something she practiced every day, so with this school, she was sure to advance in everything she knew about magic to the next level.
She was mounted upon her stallion as she made her way toward the academy. Surprise swam through her when she saw the size of the building. Should they be so public with their magic? Not everyone actually believed in it.
The large, black stallion was only trotting along the road, but the wind seemed to insist on removing Callista's hood. So, she kept one hand on the horse's mane, and one hand on her hood to make sure nobody nearby would see her face. It didn't take long for her to see somebody nearby. She noticed them just in time to watch them trip and fall on their face. She grinned slightly, but made sure to be serious when she lead the stallion over to Liam.
The horse slowed to a walk, then stopped a few feet from the stranger. "Are you alright?" Callista asked, having a feeling she might get snapped at for asking such a ridiculous question. Of course he's alright. It was only a fall.

Face a light shade of pink, Liam shook his head as if trying to get rid of a light-headed feeling. He then turned to look at the source of the sound of a horse walking, looking at a hooded-stranger. At her question, he nearly snapped, but shrugged. "I'm fine, not like that fall was going to kill me or anything...Unless I happened to fall on-top of a bunch of poisonous snakes. That would be a problem." he replied, making a joke out of it.
He stretched a bit, then realized something. Why was this random person asking him this? In hopes of keeping a conversation going, Liam figured he'd ask where this woman was headed. "May I ask where you're headed? I mean, just out of curiosity." his question followed by a statement was somewhat nervous, but he was trying to be polite.

Callista grinned, though unseen. Why there would be a bunch of poisonous snakes in the middle of a city was anyone's guess. "I am headed to the Academy of Magic." she answered almost immediately, not really caring who knew. "How about yourself?" she wondered, just returning the question for curiousity's sake.

Hearing about the woman's intentions, Liam smiled and shrugged out of habit. "I'm headed there myself." he replied, feeling comfortable that neither of them would argue about magic. He had three ideas in case he could learn how to invent his own sort of magic.
