What does a mercenary do in leisure time?

As Lily explained, Liam was reminded of his native kingdom's state of affairs...Almost like a civil war. He was then told that she was able to heal wounds, so long as the person was alive. "W-Well...th-thanks...i-if you're certain.." he replied, accepting her aid. He brought his hands to his tunic, feeling embarrassed to even be doing this. He removed his tunic, revealing his injury.

It was a blood-stained mess, as if someone had used a sword to rend his body. If one looked closely enough, they could probably see what was behind him through his wound. Despite that, there were scars from already healed injuries, and his face flushed a little. He was never put in this situation, but he could have guessed that this girl would have bugged him about it.

Lily's porcelain cheeks flooded with pink when he removed his tunic. She quickly looked at all the scars and she started to wonder how he had gotten hurt so badly so many times. He obvious he had a painful past, but she wanted to know how he had gotten so many injured like this, and lived. "So, do you mind telling me your name?" she asked, hesitating to take a step forward. She in arms reach of him now, and she extended her arm.

She grazed her delicate hands lightly over the wound, and she felt a slight prickly feeling in her fingertips, and she knew he was healing. It was healing slower than the cut had, since it was just a mere cut before. She traced her finger down the wound, and then walked behind him to trace her fingers down the back of the wound. How could he have been walking with a hole in him? She walked back to the front, seeing the last of the brutal gash was closing up, leaving just blood on him. "W-Well there you g-go..." she said, taking a step back and wiping the blood of her finger tips onto the end of her dark purple dress.

Upon seeing Lily's face turn pink, he blinked in confusion. Why was she embarrassed to see his injuries? He then heard her change the topic somewhat and felt like slapping himself in the face. This whole time, he forgot to introduce himself. "Oh...uh...Well, I guess in common language, it would be translated to Liam McAdam." he replied and soon felt an immense wave of relief as his gash vanished. It was easier to breath, that was for sure. "Thanks..I feel a lot better now." he thanked her, putting the tunic back on.

"M-May I ask what your name is?" he asked, somewhat awkwardly. He didn't know the girl's name, but he felt like now he could trust her. He then wondered about something, something the made him feel a bit insecure. No one he met was this kind-hearted...but...she couldn't be trying to deceive him, could she?

"Nice to meet you Liam, I'm Lily Aiko." she introduced herself after he asked for her name, curtsying formally to him. She sighed silently, making a mental note to herself to stop curtsying upon greeting people, like she did in the palace. Her princess days were gone, so she needed to get rid of all the princess like habits or else she was going to get herself noticed and possibly caught. She returned up and looked at him. He looked better already, seeing the hint of pain in his facial expression vanish. She felt even with him now, after her causing him more pain, she took it away.

"So, um, Liam. I'm very sorry to ask you of a favor, but do you know a place to stay around here?" she asked. She had just gotten into Avaren, and she desperately needed a roof over her head and a place to freshen up so she would look decent for getting a job. She blinked, feeling her stomach rumble in hunger. She'd need to get a job soon, because she needed to get some food in her a soon as possible because she was already feeling weak from the hunger.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Lily." he replied and smiled to be friendly. He was curious about the curtsey, but shrugged it off. He was soon asked about if he knew about any place to stay, and smiled. "You can stay at the home I rented." he replied, since that was the only idea he could come up with. His original plan was just to camp out in the woods, but when he took up his new job, it was very easier to secure a home.

He then heard a very slight growling and took a wild guess in the form of a question. "Um...would you like something to eat?" he questioned in a way that it was like he was asking if she needed anything. He had to repay her for healing him in some shape or form.

Lily was speechless. All she did for Liam was heal him after causing him more pain than he was already in, and now he was offering her a place to stay. "I..Uh...A-Are you sure? I j-just met you and..." she was in shock. She quickly shook her head, clearing her head and smiled at him. "I appreciate that. Thank you so much." she thanked him, having the urge to hug him, but he didn't seem like the hugging type. He then asked her if she wanted something to eat.

"It'd be nice, but I think I can get it on my own." she said in a way that meant she didn't want to burden him. She smiled gratefully at him. She felt like she was being treated better than she deserved. She looked at him again, trying to guess hid age. Sixteen...Seventeen? She didn't think that mattered right now. She'd eventually find out, but she didn't want to ask him anymore questions.
