Horu had heard the shriek of agony and he was on his feet in seconds. not bothering to don any more armor than his chain shirt he ran through the rain in the direction of the lightning. His sword already in his had, ready to behead any that would harm him or her. He got to her just as she was loosing her grip on the staff and caught her limp form his his arms. The smell of the cave then hit him. What he smelled make him anxious, and he didn't know why, but Dante's safety was more important the pursuing what ever evil lurked in that cave.
He placed his sword back in it's sheath and picked up her staff. Then he pulled his hseild from his back and held it over her face as he walked back to their campsite. so that the rain wouldn't drown her on his way back. He layed her down on the ground and began inspecting her body and began healing some of the burns. with faith and some with ointments found in a bottle at the bottom of his bag. When she awoke she would find her wounds dressed. Even those in more private areas of her body He really hoped she wouldn't be offended but he didn't want her suffering. He watched over the camp for the rest of the night.

As Dante had slept to recover, her bright orange hair began to grow out in a show of the passage of time. Her hair that was normally kept at a short fuzzy cut was long, somewhat wavy and elegant. Dante's Golden eyes opened slowly. Her vision was fuzzy and the burning sensation was still flowing through her body. She slowly pushed herself to ignore the sensation as she sat herself up to show she was awake. It was still the early hours of dawn, the sun had barely begun to rise over the horizon.
Dante then looked down at her burned body and noted that she had been taken care of by the dragonborn. She was quite thankful to him for his help, "This wasn't necessary," she said then, breaking the silence over the crackling and dying fire, "I've been through far worse." She then pulled up the Kimono she had left lying on the ground and shook it out. She put it on like a robe over her lack of clothing and bandages, "I would have healed on my own."

Horu looked over at her at hearing her voice. He had been staring out the entrance to the cave. "Necessary? Maybe not, but the faster it heals the less chance there is of you getting sick. So making you heal faster can't hurt. Besides, using your own energy too heal may have taken away from what strength you need to finish our hike down the mountain." Pluss, though he would never dream of admitting it, unless it turned out she felt the same way of course. Dressing her wounds, seeing her beautiful features even with the burns was something he enjoyed.

"Only if dragon beings could blush," she muttered quietly to herself, a small smile running across her face. "It takes little energy for me to heal myself Horu-san," she said. The suffix was an old habit of hers she had yet to break. Being able to speak the universal english still didn't let her be excused of habits. She ran her hand through her hair, now realizing how much longer the gods had made her hair. The length was touching the middle of her back. Heavy as it was, it wasn't going to be a problem.
"So did you find anything intriguing about me besides the battle scars?"

Oh gods now she had him trapped and if he could blush he would be really badly right now. If he said no she might take it as an insult seeing as he hadn't found her good looking. and if he said yes well then he would be admitting something that make thing more uncomfortable. COme on thing there had to be away out...
"Well... uh your build is much stronger than it looks." What kind of BS answer was that? "Your muscle's combined with your weight and size probably make you far mor agile as well." Still more BS. Well even if she didn't by it maybe she would beable to tell he was trying to be modest.

Dante was quite pleased that he didn't mention her womanly figure. Something she knew she had but never felt to be an asset. After all, what good is it to look like she did when she was immortal and would outlive anyone she ever loved? "Thank you," she said with a soft nod. She really was pleased.
Her happiness soon faded however when the thought of the red dragon's taunting voice came back into her mind. Had she shown a moment's weakness she would have ended up raped or worse. The thought nearly made the shaolin warrior cry. "Damn you," she muttered, her hands gripping tightly.

Well at least she hadn't been offended. But then she seemed suddenly upset. "What's wrong." He asked concern in his voice.

Dante's golden eyes looked up sharply at Horu when she heard his voice enter her mind again. Her eyes were red from threatening tears and they were shimmering slightly. "You've heard of red dragons, haven't you?" she asked then, rubbing her eyes free of the oncoming emotion and then acting as it had never started to rear its head.

Horu Nodded in response to her question a serious expession settling over his draconian features. "They are the bane of the Dragon's. They are an embodiment of pride, greed, and gluttony. They care only for themselves and their gold. I've never seen one but i know trusting them is the last mistake anyone ever makes. Why do you ask?" He asked. Now suspicious. "Do you know one?" A red dragon was one of the many things he needed to become a Vasal of Bahamut and finally receive his wings.

"I... came across one last night," she stated as her orange brows furrowed darkly, "I knew they were bad news but I didn't know how.. sexually vulgar they were," she continued. A shiver then ran over her body as she recalled the rough sensation of being grasped by that... thing. It was the thing she was wishing she could kill with daggars and swords by her own hand, but it was impossible. Blood was not to be spilled by her hands or she would pay the price for it. Be little or a lot, she could end up looking far worse than she had after this experience.
