A Darker Night (Private)

[Iris Cane]

As Iris was alone in the darkness atop the city wall, she could not help but think that she was alone and unloved. She was not a pretty girl yet neither was she ugly, but she knew no one was going to accept her, but she didn't care.

She stared out across the landscape, looking towards the wilderness that the walls kept out. She felt safe yet open to the world. Her body was telling her to keep out of site of the vast empiness of the wilderness, but Iris felt safe.

She stayed atop the walls, just looking out, feeling the light wind rustle her hair slightly, it felt good, better than the scorching heat of the day. Her mind, distant, did not know that at any moment someone could walk up to her. She did not think anyone would be up this late, she felt safe.

Iris was oblivious to the fact that she was being watched continued to stare out, her mind elsewhere. While she stared out, she couldnt help but think back. As the person watched a silver tear rolled down her cheek.

neko now intrested in the pretty girl changes his mind about slowing him self and steps out his windo on to the roof and see she is crying and he wants to ask why but feels he is not wanted so he waits to see what she is going to do

Iris stopped her crying, she was not going to cry, the past was the past. The wind now a little bit of a stronger breeze, gently blew her hair from her face. She turned towards a building and saw someone there. She slowed down and kept watching the person. As she came nearer she noticed that he was also watching her. She stopped when she was ten feet away. Never taking her eyes off of him. She was not glaring, her eyes showed curiousity.

neko now lost in his mind now feels he is being watched and comes to find the girl standing there like she is waiting so he says "hello"

Iris heard the boy in front of her say hello. She turned towards him and said shyly, "Hello.." her voice was quiet, but she knew he would hear. She had no idea why he was up so late, yet she was to, maybe someone else in this place had trouble sleeping just like she did. The thought made her smile slightly.

neko now focused on the girl see she has a small smile on her face now wondering what she is doing out he ask her "why are you out so late a girl like you should be having fun"

Iris was curious, but decided to ask him why he was up late later, first she answered his question and statement. "I can't sleep, and i have no one to have fun with, no one here likes me or notices me..." Her voice now at its normal volume, was soft with a slight accent. "May i ask why you are up so late, and not having fun?"

neko starts to smirk and tell her "the reason I'm not asleep is because i love the night i can mello out outside and watch the night sky and I'm not having fun because I'm alone" neko ask her "how can no one notice you and by the way may i ask your name"
