Thinking about someone...

[Vivian Hedoro]

It was Vivian's first time visiting the lake, and she sat down at the edge, just enjoying the sunset. Looking at her reflection in the water, she smiled at how perfect of a disguise she was wearing. The elfin shell really did the trick, especially if she were to meet the one she admired the most. Picking up a near by stone, she tossed it across the lake watching it skip three times on the water before sinking. Sighing, she looked up at the beautiful, picturesque sky. It's citrus-like color due to the angle of the sun made her feel warm inside...but not as much as a person did.

She admired the boy she laid eyes on upon arriving at Avaren so much...He was even the benefactor to her career as a mercenary. So far, she was successful, despite not being used to her new body. If only she could track down that mercenary...she only knew his nick-name, but that didn't help him at all.

Lily stretched, walking to the beautiful lake she had seen when she had first entered Avaren a few days ago. It was one of the few places she felt safe and comfortable at. She walked along the dirt road coming from the kingdom outward. She looked up at the citrus sky which had not a cloud in sight. It made her skin feel warm and the gentle breeze made an extra heat seem to fly away. It was one of the most picture perfect days she had ever seen. She returned to watching the road ahead for anyone coming into the kingdom, making sure she'd be prepared to either hide her face or walk into the bushes to hide from them.

She knew she was probably over exaggerating on her plan to hide in the bushes, but the fear of her ex-fiance made it where she was over cautious. Not that it wasn't a bad thing, it just made her feel like a fool sometimes. She squinted against the sunlight and saw the lake. She smiled at how much more beautiful it was now than compared to the last time she was here. She saw the figure of someone near it, and she frowned. She shrugged, not caring if anyone was there, she wanted to sit near the lake for a little while, and that was what she was going to do. She approached the lake shores and sat on them, looking to her side at where the girl was. She waved at her quickly before looking over the lake.

As the girl was day dreaming, she snapped into focus when she heard someone sit near by. Looking at the girl, she almost panicked, yet she soon waved to the girl. She was glad to not be alone and soon smiled. "Hey there." she said with a somewhat childish, mostly playful attitude. She really meant well, and she hoped to make a new friend.

Still...she couldn't help but be distracted by her thoughts...that mercenary...what she wanted from him could not be bought. Soon her cheeks flushed from the snowy color to a rose pink and she brought her hands, each hand holding the other, to her chest. If she had a physical heart, she figured it would be beating rapidly.

"Hi."Lily said, looking at the girl. She was blushing for some reason and she looked around. Was there someone here she didn't know about? Did she see someone behind them walk by? She cocked her head to the side a little. Maybe the girl was feeling ill and the red color in her cheeks were actually a sign of a sickness. "Um...Are you..A-Alright?" she asked quietly, pointing out the red tint in her cheeks.

She raised an eyebrow when the girl brought her hands to her chest, holding each other. This girl, so far, was acting sort of strangely. Lily's curiosity level was rising, wanting to know what was running through the girl's head to make her behave so weirdly. "Uh..." she whispered, realizing she was staring at the girl. She quickly looked away and picked up a flat rock and threw it, making it skip about 6 times before sinking.

Blinking at the girl's question, Vivian flinched a bit, blushing a little more. "O-Oh...I'm fine...just...just thinking of someone is all.." she replied honestly. Seeing her skip the stone made Vivian jealous. "How did you get it to skip so many times?!" she asked, somewhat like a spaz with a short attention span would.

"By the way, my name is Vivian. Vivian Hedoro." she introduced herself politely, smiling as her cheeks went back to a normal color. She was relieved that she wasn't insulted, and was curious as to why this girl came to Avaren. She was able to tell she was not native to this kingdom...just something about her.

"Oh." Lily replied, giggling slightly under her breath. She smirked, picking up a rock and she was about to throw it until the girl interrupted her. She looked at her. "You just have to hold it a certain way and then release it in a fast, smooth motion," she was explaining, while showing her how to hold it and then she threw it. It skipped 5 times before plunging into the blue depths. She smiled at how she was acting, it reminded her of when she could act like that. It was a fun time.

"I'm Lily Aiko." she introduced as the girl identified herself as Vivian. She smiled back, bowing her head swiftly and looking up. The girl's cheeks were back to normal, filling Lily with relief, knowing she wasn't sick. She looked closer at her, seeing her eyes were a beautiful lavender. She gasped at the prettiness. "Oh my...You're eyes are my favorite color! I'm jealous..." she smiled, becoming more comfortable with the girl.

"Oh, cool. Now let's see.." Vivian picked up another stone and tossed it with a very smooth motion. The stone skipped ten times, much to her surprise, and she smiled. "Awesome!" she exclaimed and smiled again at hearing Lily's name. "It's nice to meet you Lily...You're last name...it's very familiar.." she replied, trying to remember where she heard it before.

Her attention was distracted when Lily commented on her eyes. Blushing lightly, she looked away shyly. "Th-Thanks....I....I hope...that Mr. Death likes them as well..." she said, somewhat unintentionally. She didn't realize what she said, but she was glad her lavender eyes didn't look horrible.

She smiled, seeing the stone skip ten times. "Woah." she smirked. She was getting ready to throw the stone she picked up, and she was in the process of throwing it when Vivian said her last name was familiar. Her arm jerked along with her body at the shock, causing the stone to just plummet. "Well, there's a lot of people with that last name, it's very common." Lily replied quickly, her heart racing. She knew she should have chosen a new last name instead of using her old first name as her new last name. She felt like slapping herself across the face. What was she thinking?

"Mr.Death?" she wondered out loud, raising an eyebrow. "What a depressing last name...Death?" she said to her. "Anyways, tell me about this 'Mr.Death'." She smiled, using air quotes. She was feeling more comfortable around this girl, feeling as if she could trust her even though she had just met her.

Vivian giggled at the reaction Lily had and smiled. "I met a merchant who always talked about a snail named Aiko. She was a real wackjob" she commented, smiling at how she remembered where she heard the name from. She was then asked about Mr. Death and giggled at the joke Lily made about the depressing last name. "Well...it's more of a nickname than anything." she commented before she pondered where to begin.

"Well, anyway, Mr. Death is a mercenary from a far off land to the south of here. I don't know much about him, but I figure his name came from his reputation of surviving just about everything at his young age. I even heard from a town guard that he comes back from every mission half-dead, only to live the next day." she explained and sighed. "He is the very reason I became a mercenary...I wish I could see him face to face...and know more about him.." she said, her blush returning.

She giggled at the comment about the snail, relieved that she wasn't talking about her. She listened the the explanation about 'Mr.Death'. It reminded her of her new roommate, Liam McAdam since he had so many gruesome scars, and the awful wound she could almost see through. She still wondered how someone could walk around with such an injury, or more importantly, how he had gotten it.

She smiled softly at her blushing. "I'm sure you'll find him. I just hope it's soon. Do you know hat he looks like so I can help?" she asked, hoping to help find him for Vivian soon. She didn't want such a nice person to have to wait too long of a time for something like that.
